The different types of compression stockings

  • Class 2: stockings with medium compression. These are worn for varicose veins, swelling or for the treatment of leg wounds.
  • Class 3: stockings with strong compression. These are worn in severe varicose veins and in the healing of an open leg.
  • Class 4: stockings with very strong compression. These are worn in severe lymphedema, vein diseases and elephantiasis.
